Governance For Health Administrators/Managers

This four day workshop uses a Guide and Workbook to address governance topics and engages in practical exercises that address relevant issues. Using an interactive approach, this workshop will cover the critical elements a Health Portfolio Administrators should be aware of and things they should be able to do to improve the effectiveness of health governance for their state. This workshop will help participants achieve the following objectives:

  1. Participants will gain a better understanding of the critical elements of governance: roles and responsibilities; planning; policies; finance and information; people, governance operations; and health and governance.
  2. Participants will be able to apply governance tools and also develop problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.

The workshop objectives will assist you to enhance your capacity as a Health Portfolio capacity and identify opportunities for governance and health services improvements.
